Intermedia installation, 2022 The subconscious is an unexplored territory from which everything manifests as it is. Digital landscapes are explored through various avatars in an exchange with memetic poetry and unfiltered posts of the inner self. Paintings reveal archetypal traits found in online content and network-spirituality communities. A poster on the wall binds the overarching themes of being a girl online, coming together to create a vast, suggestive stroke of what it means to find God in the algorithm. Curated by Martina Menegon with Brooklyn J. Pakathi at Georg Kargl PERMANENT The curator wrote : "In her hybridized formulations, unpacking ideas of internet overload and realities of alienation, Eliška Jahelková switches between painting, music, 3D generated art and regularly maintains a meme repository that stimulates her practice. In the video “LOVELOAD (extended)”, Jahelková’s avatar is trapped in a loop of captions, glitches, and memes. Viewers can’t help but find themselves caught in between a tension of hypnotic sound and a vivid landscape of digital moving images. “user_goes_to_malkut” and “EYES OF GOD” merge together, recontextualizing painting and meme aesthetics as a new religious ritual. Her work questions the essence and effect of the virtual, of the internet as a feeling and the online world as a mistic everything.
Painting series, PARALLEL Vienna, 2023 ONLINE ANGELS is a painting series visualizing the God in the network. The Internet is inherently spiritual, simulating the collective consciousness. One can fall unconscious, but fall awake during the process of being present online. The unspeakable is the language of the present. Idiosyncratic fuse of text and image create the being of online angels. By the moment of present realization the subject itself becomes deconstructed onto the internet. The subject becomes empty, therefore angelic. The language becomes the one, the one becomes the language of the internet. There is no internet at that moment, but a collection of future memories of the past present in the absolute presence of oneself that becomes the internet when the internet itself disappears. A portrayal of the modern hope that comes through communication and wishes beyond the digital realm, of godly love found within the network. Each snippet, each note, each tweet is the truest form of angelic presence within and without. We find salvation in the beauty of the online. The spirit of every gesture and each winding URL path binds us together as one collective holy entity. Analog methods are used to manifest these non-physical qualities in a bodily, ownable shape.
Musical Duo Listen on BANDCAMP and everywhere. BLUEBUNNY & twinflamegirl is a musical duo consisting of Eliška Jahelková and Daniel Stolzlederer. The only point of creation is music as a tool of spiritual invocation and ethereal enlightenment. "We aim to bring joy, or rather the acceleration of joy in the subconsciouss self."
